i want to be able to use pure logic to solve a puzzle, and i haven't found a way to do these yet without giving in to a little guessing.

I'd never tried them before the sample problems were put up, but I'm excited they're coming. Solving them seems like it will require a long delay at the start to think about the paths, followed by furious action to draw the lines where ever they appear to fit.

I enjoy the puzzle on paper a lot. It is harder for me to solve on the computer (probably because I cannot put in "sure" lines and "guess" lines and erase just the guesses) and I enjoy it less on nikoli.com.

Sometimes it is very hard to get a good logical intuition into a Numberlink puzzle, but on the whole they seem to be a fun creative recreational puzzle.

Numberlink is a great change from other puzzles because it is much harder to solve in small logical steps, but it feels great when you finally find the solution!

Numberlink is an excellent addition to the lineup. It's interesting to have a puzzle that is much better attacked through intuition than through rule application, but that makes it a lot of fun.

So far I am happy with Numberlink. I still feel like I am guessing a lot, and it is very different from other Nikoli puzzles. I look forward to watching some of the best solvers' puzzle histories, which I hope will show me the insight I need to find the solutions quickly.

I have no good algorithm for solving them. They seem to involve a huge amount of trial and error. They can be extremely fun if I see what to do, but they're frustrating otherwise.

They are OK, not my favorite. Seem more an exercise in intuition rather than logic. I would have much preferred yajilin or ripple effect.

I don't like them. They don't seem to have an incremental process to solve them. You have to sort of see the whole solution at once.

I love Numberlinks! It's a different puzzle for me because I usually just kind of feel my way through it instead of using pure logic. I'm glad it's been added to the site.

Numberlink is okay. This puzzle has been around so long that I'm not too excited about it, but well-designed puzzles are always fun.I would like Fillomino please.

I like the Numberlink puzzles. One fact about them that I had to discover on my own, as I don't recall reading this in the instructions, is that every square in the grid will be filled with either an end-point or a line segment. My favorite puzzles are Slitherlink, Nurikabe, and Numberlink. I think they're the most elegant and interesting.

to tell the truth, I find it to be the hardest of nikoli's puzzles. On other puzzles you can make a logical assumption on each step, but numberlink seems like a guess-and-test puzzle. if you could possibly make a page showing tips and tricks i would much appreciate that

I like your Numberlink puzzles. They require more than just following the rules. They need a bit of intuition and vision which is very refreshing. In fact, I bought your Numberlink puzzlebook No. 1 some time ago and was hoping that you will add it to your on-line puzzles. You also have some other very enjoyable puzzles like Yajilin, for instance, which would also be very welcome on your online offering for members.

I like the Numberlink puzzles online. In fact, I find the flash version more enjoyable than the pencil-and-paper version as I can try different paths with much less erasing! However, my favorite puzzle is Heyawake. I hope we will see more of Heyawake and your other puzzles here in the US!

I was really surprised because I didn’t know that the NIKOLI Derby was held as the world championship. Judging from the name of horses and owners, I would assume that NIKOLI readers have the same taste of the humor in all countries.
